Art FOR SALE 💗 I keep forgetting that I do have an Instagram. Oops! Isn't the sight of an orange-clad 🍑 a great way to start the week? I painted this for the marathon, but, unfortunately, it's never been published for the purpose it was made for. Well then, now I have this lovely piece to show off and that's a great thing, isn't it?
Velvety smooth Arches. This was the moment when I realized that this paper could be a real game-changer.
*******
I'm selling this one on #saatchiart. Quarter sheet (38x28cm), unframed.
Saturday! I feel retro disco vibes coming from this fierce lady 🪩🪩🪩 It's one of my favorite pieces this year with all the colors and the contrast and - of course - that HAIR! I never posted a close-up of this painting from January, only that framed shot from the second slide. Have a wonderful weekend!
I can't believe it's been just a year since I showed the piece on the 3rd slide. That one had been my first portrait under the tutoring of @polina_ishkhanova and the one you see on the first two slides is my most recent watercolor study. Exactly one year apart. My confidence has been growing with every piece ever since then. Sometimes I fell on my a$s, but that was really necessary to get myself back to reality.
And. btw, I discovered the beauty of @archespapers Those gradients are just 🖤🖤🖤

Watercolor. Yeah, it is one. Swipe, if you don't believe. I must say, that painting on @ampersand_art Aquabord (or even knowing about it) feels like you belong to a secret club. It's different from what you ever knew about watercolor painting. I already have a tactics for the next one, so... The dozens of people, who unfollowed my account are really missing out! Btw, it's really small, 20x20cm (metric edition) and I'm fascinated by the level of detail possible on this surface.
As a reference, I used a photo of @katya_mozhina, which I once saved onto my HDD. Maybe I'll rework the jaw area, because it bugs me. Everything is possible on Aquabord.
Drawings from last week's life drawing class. Some people wanted to see them after the sneak peak in the stories and so I decided to post them here. Those are 20-min-poses at the end of the session. I wanted to try out my new @nitramcharcoal for this exercise and it was the best decision ever! Charcoal would be perfect, if it didn't make such a mess. I must say that the model was super -fidgety, more than usual. I spent the first minutes just observing and waiting for her to find a comfortable position, but still she kept moving her head and scratching herself several times a minute. I think I'm going back to drawing people, who wait for food in restaurants 😁
Redheads are among my most favorite subjects, something I never realized before I ran out of the White Nights “Shakhnazarskaya Red”, a beautiful transparent orange iron oxide, which sadly had been discontinued (but I got my back up in time!). Right now I’m taking a rest after the marathon. I do have energy to paint, but no mental capacity to plan paintings, so all I make now are quick tutored landscape sketches. But I’ll be back soon!
